I've been spending every spare second working on the latest Sophie book, Lust Loathing And A Little Lip Gloss. It won't be in the stores until June 09' but my deadline is September 1st and I'm determined to meet that while at the same time produce a book that is worthy of all you lovely, loyal readers. My publisher just sent me the mock up for the cover. This is the first time they've done both the cover and the back-cover copy for one of my books before I've actually finished the manuscript. It's kind of like that music they play on Jeopardy...it should be totally benign but you know that it's causing serious stress for the contestants trying to write the correct answer before the their time is up!
Anyhoo, I probably shouldn't be too stressed, the book is almost done.. I really hope like it!

I am so happy you are writing another book! I check your website evry month to see if you were working on a new one. I have all your books and some in hardcover and paperback. I'm a 19 year old African Amercian female and I am inspired by you. You're not just another Zane writer or write about stupid stuff like that. You make your books seem so real. The characters are believable and the love scenes aren't too ronchy. Well I just wanted to tell you what a great job you are doing and how excited I am about this new book!I can't wait until it comes out!

Hey there Miss Kyra, I just finished your second Sophie book and I must say I am hooked... I hardly put either one down while I read them, except to sleep and go to work of course! :) Anyway, I am an aspiring writer myself, so for what it's worth, YOU ARE AWESOME! :) Thank you for my summer entertainment, I'll be looking forward to June of '09...
