Throughout this whole David Patraeus, Paula Broadwell mess I've maintained that America is overreacting. Yes, Patraeus and Broadwell screwed up badly and I really feel for their families but for our entire society to be shocked, offended and outraged seems a bit over the top. People screw up and according to statistics they screw up their marriages about 50% of the time. It's not shocking.
BUT...
Now I find out that Paula Broadwell's biography of Patraeus was written by ghostwriter, Vernon Loeb? So she got a book deal out of an adulterous affair and
she didn't even have to write the book??? Are you really telling me that after nine years of writing books all I had to do to make the extended New York Times bestsellers list was to sleep with Patraeus?
Okay so now, as an author, I'm shocked, offended and outraged. If you're going to sleep your way to the top have some integrity about it. Sheesh!

I don't get it, how can you be an biographer if you're not even doing the writing? Doesn't that just make her a groupie?
